What we collect, and what we do not

Written in plain language and specific to this website, rather than a template. If something here is unclear, ask us and we will answer it directly.

What this website collects

There are two places on this site where you can give us personal information, and both are things you choose to fill in.

The contact form
Your name, company name if you give one, email address, phone number, the enquiry type you select and your message. All of it is required to answer you, apart from the company field.
The newsletter signup
Your email address, and nothing else.

Where that information goes

Both forms post to a Google Apps Script endpoint, which writes the submission into a Google Sheet that our team reads. We use it to reply to you and, for newsletter signups, to send occasional email about new flavours and restocks.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

Measurement and analytics

This site runs four measurement tools. They are listed individually because "we use cookies" tells you nothing useful.

Google Tag Manager and Firebase Analytics
Records which pages are viewed, which products are opened, which filters are used and which buttons are pressed. Used to understand what people look for.
Mixpanel
Records the same kind of product interactions against an anonymous identifier so that a visit can be followed from one page to the next.
Microsoft Clarity
Records session replays and heatmaps — that is, a reconstruction of mouse movement, scrolling and clicks on a page. It is used to find parts of the site that are confusing. Clarity masks text input by default, so what you type into a form is not captured in the replay.
Firebase Remote Config
Lets us change certain content on the site without a redeploy. It does not collect anything about you.

What we deliberately do not send to analytics

Your email address, phone number, name and message are never included in analytics events. When you submit the contact form we record that a submission happened and which enquiry type you chose — not who you are. The same applies to newsletter signups.

This was not always true on this site, and it was corrected.

Embedded Instagram content

Some pages embed Instagram posts. Those embeds load directly from Meta, which means Meta can see that a browser loaded them and may be able to recognise you if you are signed in to Instagram or Facebook. That happens on Meta’s terms, not ours. If you would rather it did not, blocking third-party content for instagram.com will stop it, and the rest of the site will work normally.

What is stored on your device

The product catalogue is cached in your browser’s local storage so the shop loads quickly on a repeat visit. It contains product information only — no personal data — and clearing your browser storage removes it.

The analytics tools above set their own cookies and identifiers. Clearing cookies for this site removes those too.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it — there is no form to fill in.

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list and does not affect an order or an enquiry.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will remove it.
